THE Guinness Storehouse in Dublin has unveiled a new food experience following a £1.7 million investment.
Inside the Brewers’ Dining Hall at the Guinness Storehouse
‘Five’, located on the fifth floor of the building, comprises an authentic Irish bar – ‘Arthur’s Bar’ – an 18th century-inspired Brewers’ Dining Hall, a restaurant named ‘Gilroy’s’ after the iconic Guinness advertisements by John Gilroy and live cooking demonstrations.
A number of key local suppliers have been selected to work alongside the Guinness Storehouse team and their produce can be seen on the menus. These include Ardsallagh goat’s cheese and Waterford Blaas (a type of bread roll) supplied by MD Bakery in Waterford.
The experience also includes an interactive recipe sharing bank that allows visitors to take Guinness recipe cards home to try for themselves and also share their own Guinness-inspired dishes with others.
Throughout the year, there will also be a series of seasonal masterclasses where participants will learn how to cook with Guinness as an ingredient.
